Before we post the Birds of Prey results, I'd like to thank everyone for their contributions this month. We ran 51 submissions between March 1 - March 24, totaling 102 character redesigns.
Judges have it rough sometimes. You all send in fantastic art, and we have to narrow it down to a winner and four runners-up. It's not an easy task, and it can be hard choosing which pieces move on. While the Top 5 were pretty undisputed, there were several pieces that came close in scoring that deserve a little more recognition:

This month, we're privileged to be joined by the
Girls Read Comics crew -- Dee, Chantaal, Angel, and Lina -- at the judge's table. We loved having them on board during last year's
Wonder Woman and
Superhero of the Year contests, so it's really a pleasure to have them back for another round. For information on Girls Read Comics, I'd recommend reading this
write up we originally did on them last August, and you should of course
check out their website.
We're also joined by
last month's Starfire winner,
Blair J. Campbell. You can check out his awesome art at
Draw, Blair! DRAW!This month also marks the first time our newest contributor,
Taylor Evans. Taylor joined us for Superhero of the Year judging as a reader of the site, and we're glad to have him on board now as a regular contributor.
Lastly, you may have noticed if you've posted a comment recently, it informs you that it'll be approved upon moderation. No one's done anything that warrants moderation. Rather, moderation lets us know when a comment has been posted, rather than us having to seek out comments, in the event that a response is warranted. Occasionally people comment on older posts, and those comments can easily get lost in the mix of those made on new posts. Please just realize it helps us more easily realize when someone has commented on a post. But if it ends up being a stupid idea, we'll shut it off.
Thanks for your continued support of
Superhero of the Month. Stay tuned, the Birds of Prey winner and runners-up will be announced tomorrow!
