We're back with more entries in the
Superhero of the Month &
Batman-News.com October Batman redesign challenge!
"I've gone for a traditional form-fitting jumpsuit, although I've added a woven texture to suggest that it might be made of a tougher material than spandex -- a high-tech weave of fibers like Kevlar and Nomex. The helmet, breastplate, shin and forearm sections of the suit are rigid, carbon fiber composites. Batman should be able to move with incredible agility, so armor has to be a secondary consideration, applied only where it won't get in the way. What armor there is must be tough but incredibly light. I know green is closely associated with another Justice League superhero, but it's the color of things that glow creepily in the dark. Hence the green, replacing yellow in Batman's traditional color scheme.
"I've also thrown in a Batmobile - a modified Pagani Huayra."

Sebastian von Buchwald's Bruce Wayne |
“This is a fairly conservative redesign of Batman. I gave him a bit or armor and, in an effort to give the character more “bat” qualities, I removed the eye slits and, though it may not be noticeable, the cape is sewn into his arms. Just like a bat! I was gonna do the same for the legs but it just turned into a really impractical design.” "I thought of Batman with a samurai look."
"I always thought that Batman should be pretty much in black with a contrasting logo."
